Overview
WindWave was created in July, 2004, in response to an increased need for fiber optic construction and commercial broadband services in Eastern Oregon. Currently WindWave provides Wireless and Fiber Optic Internet services.
In November 2005, WindWave acquired Heppner TV as part of their long-term goal of providing TV, Internet, and Telephone over Fiber Optics to homes. This acquistion, include HTV staff grants WindWave access to the existing pole and conduit infrastructure in Heppner.
In June 2006, WindWave acquired the ailing Lexington cable TV system, which was slated for closure in the coming months. WindWave / HTV are now providing cable TV, along with the locally famous "channel 3 - local events channel," to Lexington residents.
WindWave has Colocation offices in Heppner, Boardman, Irrigon, Hermiston, Pendleton, LaGrande, and Baker City.
WindWave has strategic partnerships with LSNetworks, Qwest, 360 Networks, and NoaNet Washington, allowing mulit-branch WAN businesses to connect their sites together directly over broadband.
WindWave communications is a wholly owned subsidiary of Inland Development Corporation, an non-profit entity focues on providing fiber optic broadband services to governement, educational, health care, nonprofit, and service providers in the State of Oregon.
